Las Karamba

Amidst the bustling streets of Barcelona, amidst the chaos, traffic jams and stress, ‘Las Karamba’ was founded in 2018. Six life stories came together here, each shaped by migration, musical heritage and, in some cases, rebellious upbringings. Together, the women wanted to draw strength, overcome their fears and pursue their dreams. The multicultural band comprises members from Venezuela, Cuba, Catalonia, France and Argentina. They infuse traditional styles such as son, cha-cha-cha, salsa and timba with influences from rap and urban music, combined with a touch of samba and rumba, to create a new, extremely powerful and rousing musical sound.
