About the festival
The Festival da Jazz is characterized by a rare proximity to the artists. Jazz is back in the club. Even the main stage – the Dracula Club – only seats about 150 guests. Stars and legends such as Al Jarreau, Chick Correa, Diana Krall, Nigel Kennedy, and many others have performed in this extremely intimate setting.
Tour de Charme
Das künstlerische Zentrum des Festivals ist im Dracula Club und somit in St. Moritz. In Zusammenarbeit mit dem Kanton Graubünden tragen wir unsere Musik-Freude in die Region und bespielen ein paar aussergewöhnliche Schauplätze.
The Hidden Sessions
Jazz is improvisation. Improvisation is jazz. With the ‘Hidden Sessions’, the Festival da Jazz is launching a new, small but fine format in which improvisation takes centre stage. Not by the musicians, but by the audience! Interested festival guests can subscribe to a news alert, which will inform them at very short notice during the festival about the hidden concerts of the ‘Hidden Sessions’.
Defender Pioneers-Jazzlab
Breaking into the music business is a huge hurdle for many young artists. In addition to skill and luck, it takes a lot of energy, perseverance, tenacity and time to gain a foothold. The Defender Pioneers-Jazzlab aims to make this step a little easier for motivated young talent.

In addition to the main concerts, the FDJ spreads its festival groove in and around St. Moritz with various free concerts: brunch and aperitif concerts on the Hauser terrace, late-night concerts in the Sunny Bar, etc.
Concerts on the Lej da Staz, in Bergell, Pontresina and Celerina round off the programme - the Festival da Jazz is a festival of locations.
The Festival da Jazz is constantly evolving organically. New, exciting formats are tried out and integrated. With the ‘Defender Pioneers Jazzlab’, the festival is sending out a clear signal in terms of promoting young talent. With the ‘Hidden Sessions’, we shed light on undiscovered areas and promote the urge to play among both the audience and the musicians.
