Dear Friends of the Festival da Jazz
These are, without a doubt, extraordinary days and weeks we're experiencing. First and foremost, we would therefore like to wish you and your loved ones good health with this letter.
Obviously, this ongoing pandemic takes its toll on all of us. The planning of a festival with international artists is a complicated and sweat-inducing undertaking under normal circumstances. You can imagine, that it is a thousand times more complicated at the moment.
BUT: There will be a time after the pandemic. At the moment we're working on the festival summer 2020 with full steam. Hope prevails that the "extraordinary situation" declared by the Federal Council will be over in due course.
We would like to inform you of an immediate consequence of the pandemic: We will publish our programme later than originally planned. Of course we will keep you up-to-date through our newsletters or our homepage.
Jazz is improvisation. And (live) music and the people involved are the food for our souls. After this dark and difficult time, we will need it all the more.
Besides, we from the Festival da Jazz can, at the very least, praise ourselves for our quick reaction time and our small, agile team. Even though we deal with big names from time to time, we remain light-footed and thrive when faced with a challenge. Pressure makes us better: Just like gemstones.
Meanwhile we remain convinced that people will fancy some entertainment this summer. And until then, we wish you all the best, good health, calmness and perseverance.
