Violin meets Dracula
Nigel Kennedy is a devil of a violin player, who takes hellish pleasure in shocking the purists among his audience. The bold rebel from England doesn’t follow classic conventions, neither with regard to his outfit and hairstyle nor the set list and his repertoire, where there’s usually no clear distinction between E and U. So it can easily happen that the serious baroque music of Bach starts colliding with playful stage antics à la Fats Waller. We are looking forward to his breathtaking solos where he behaves like an incarnation of Paganini with all his verve.
