No other Swiss musician has managed to stay at the top for such a long time as George Gruntz who will turn 80 next year. During his fabulous career he hasn’t just gained an excellent reputation as an innovative big band leader, but also initiated several unusual world music projects and composed a jazz opera. Last but not least, Gruntz keeps his piano keys well under control. At an age where others enjoy their retirement, he will turn up the heat once more – for his performance in St Moritz he will bring together a number of outstanding musicians from different generations.
