Bossa Nova Stories

The pianist Eliane Elias, who grew up in Brazil, is also a wonderful singer. Bass player Marc Johnson launched his career alongside Bill Evans. They are truly one heart and soul – not only on but also off stage. It is therefore not surprising that their music often sounds like a sublime declaration of love. Against this backdrop, it will be exciting to see what they do with their songs from the rich collection of Brazilian bossa nova tunes, not least because this form of music carries many subtle erotic undertones.
