'S Wonderful

In his tragically short life George Gershwin (1898–1937) created a string of Broadway hits («I Got Rhythm», «The Man I Love», «Oh Lady Be Good» etc.), orchestral works («Rhapsody in Blue», «An American in Paris»), and the opera «Porgy & Bess», and today his oeuvre is still as attractive as it was then. The Gershwin Piano Quartet not only brings his music back to life but also brings it into a fascinating transatlantic dialogue with works of his contemporaries like Igor Strawinsky («Petruschka») or Maurice Ravel («La Valse»).
