Mezzoforte

If it isn’t for an erupting volcano like Eyjafjallajökull, bringing international air travel to a standstill, Iceland hardly ever makes the headlines. And Iceland rarely makes it into the cultural pages either. However when there is talk about the far away island, then it is about exceptional acts like the fairy-like singer Björk or the marathon fusion band Mezzoforte. The band was founded by teenagers in 1977 and managed to keep a huge number of loyal fans for all these years. By the way, Mezzoforte’s latest album is called ‘Volcanic’ and is accordingly full of power.
