Paul Kuhn
“The older I get the more I find myself playing jazz again” says television entertainer Paul Kuhn. He discovered jazz during the WWII. In his autobiography he describes how he and his friends at boarding school huddled together to listen to swing records: “Spellbound, we listened to this new style of music, which was strictly prohibited. Not only was it “ungerman” and “foreign” but music for entertainment purposes was banned at our school all together. Suddenly I could no longer understand my teachers. My God, I thought, how on earth can they ban this great music!”
